What's moving through you right now?
The thought loop, the worry, the thing that keeps surfacing. Don't clean it up.
Before we continue
The story will not solve the problem. It is the loop.
The mind returns to the story because it believes that thinking harder will eventually produce relief. It will not. Every time we re-enter the narrative, we reinforce the same neural pathway and arrive at the same wall.
What you just wrote was necessary. It brought you to the door. What comes next is different: we name the feeling underneath the story, breathe, and drop into the body. That is where the information actually lives.
Ready to step out of the story?
Step 1 of 3
Name the emotional tone
One or two words. The simplest version of what is here.
Breathe a few times before we continue
Step 2 of 3
Land in the room first
Before the body scan, confirm you are here. Tap each one as you do it.
See
Find five things you can see right now.
A corner. A shadow. A texture. Anything.
Touch
Notice four things you can physically feel.
The seat beneath you. Fabric on skin. Temperature of air.
Hear
Identify three sounds in this space.
Distant or close. Continuous or brief.
Smell
Notice two things you can smell, or the absence of it.
Air, fabric, a room smell. Even neutral counts.
Taste
Notice one taste, or what your mouth currently holds.
Neutral, dry, lingering. Whatever is true.
Step 3 of 3
Feeling Signatures
Location
Quality
Why this happens
Blankness is not absence. It is the body being careful. You cannot feel a body that is not moving. Work through these first, then try the chips above.
Move something first
Press both feet firmly into the floor. Hold five seconds, release fully.
Clench both fists tight. Hold, then open slowly. Spread the fingers wide.
Let the jaw drop slightly. Widen the back of the throat. Close gently.
Slow roll of the shoulders: back, up, and drop. Further than they want to go.
If still blank, try these questions
If what you are carrying had a colour, what is the first one that comes?
If it were a weather pattern inside you?
If it had a texture you could touch?
Tend to what you found
Based on what you selected. Stay curious, not forceful. These are invitations, not instructions.
Your integration
The mind moved some of the weight there. The body held it. That is the practice. Not a solution. Just a landing.
